The 2023 China International Composite Materials Industry Technology Exhibition was held in Shanghai from September 12th to 14th. "China International Composites Expo" is the largest and most influential professional and technical exhibition for composite materials in the Asia-Pacific region. It is an important benchmark for the development of the global composite materials industry.

Yantai Donghua participated in the exhibition with a variety of composite raw materials, displaying alicyclic epoxy resin, multi-functional epoxy resin, epoxy resin curing agent, additives and other products, as well as downstream application solutions such as wind turbine blade repair resin, UV-curable prepreg, fast winding resin and resin for coating-free composite frames.

In the technical lecture session of the exhibition, our R&D engineers gave professional speeches on the characteristics of alicyclic epoxy products, curing methods and applications in the field of composite materials.

Innovative materials - High performance epoxy resin

Yantai Donghua's series of alicyclic epoxy resin products are used in the fields of potting adhesives, electronic packaging adhesives, module adhesives, repair adhesives, stone adhesives and other adhesive fields, and have excellent performance:

Multifunctional epoxy resin raw materials have high cross-linking density after curing, good thermal stability after resin curing, excellent mechanical properties and insulation properties at high temperatures, good wettability of glass fiber and carbon fiber, excellent heat resistance of the cured product and good nuclear radiation resistance.

Cycloaliphatic Epoxy Resin - Composite Curing System

Cycloaliphatic epoxy resin has various curing forms used in the field of composite materials.

The reaction speed of alicyclic epoxy resin-thermal cationic system is significantly better than that of glycidyl ether-thermal cationic system or epoxy-anhydride system, which can greatly increase the curing speed and be used in pultrusion, winding, RTM and other applications that require rapid curing.

Alicyclic epoxy resin-UV + thermal cationic curing, curing thickness >4mm, can achieve low temperature, deep and rapid curing, and can be used in prepreg, wind turbine blade repair resin and other fields.

The alicyclic epoxy resin-anhydride curing system has a mechanical retention rate of >90% after acid resistance, alkali resistance, double 85 resistance, and UV aging tests, and can be applied to uncoated system photovoltaic frames.
