Adhesives

Donghua New Materials has long been dedicated to the technological development of core key materials for the adhesive industry, with product applications covering fields such as flat panel displays, photovoltaic cells, smart terminal packaging, high-end building materials, and daily chemical products. Leveraging cycloaliphatic epoxy resins and multifunctional epoxy resins with unique structures, it directly addresses industry pain points: enhancing adhesion and high-temperature resistance through strongly polar groups and high crosslink density, and solving the yellowing problem by virtue of intrinsic weather resistance, providing customers with customized solutions.

Performance and Characteristics

  • Low viscosity
  • low halogen
  • low shrinkage
  • high temperature resistance
  • excellent weather resistance
  • multiple curing methods (thermal curing/light curing)

LED Encapsulation Adhesive

Cycloaliphatic epoxy resin DE021E combines low viscosity, low color, and low halogen content with solid physical and chemical properties. Its distinctive saturated cycloaliphatic molecular structure delivers excellent yellowing resistance, high heat resistance, and high light transmittance. Once cured, the product reaches a glass transition temperature of up to 210 °C, comfortably withstanding the 260 °C reflow soldering process, and shows little tendency to yellow even under 85 °C/85% RH high-temperature, high-humidity conditions and prolonged UV exposure, with light transmittance that remains stable over time. It is widely suited to the encapsulation of high-end LED packages, including through-hole and surface-mount types, comprehensively improving package weatherability and extending overall service life.

UV Repair Adhesive

To meet the low-temperature, deep-cure requirements of wind turbine blade repair, Donghua New Materials has developed a cationic–radical dual-cure repair resin system built on the structural characteristics of cycloaliphatic epoxy resins and multifunctional epoxy resins. The formulation makes full use of the intrinsic advantages of cycloaliphatic epoxy — low viscosity and high crosslink density — while drawing on the synergistic effect of the dual-cure mechanism. Compared with conventional repair systems, it enables rapid repair at low temperatures and deep curing through as many as 15 layers of glass fiber, with high bond strength and excellent repair performance.
